Chemical dependence took my son away from our family when he was only 18 years old. We didn't know at the time that he was even using drugs. We were completely oblivious to the signs and knew nothing about addiction and how an addict would act when they were using. We thought our son was just frustrated with school and dealing with finals was hard on him. If we had known he was dealing with a chemical dependence maybe we could have saved his life. I don't want him to have a substatnce dependency relapse once he is free. If there an 12 step rehab center that will take him straight from prison?
